Gender Predictions: Girl - 1, Boy - 0

I got my first gender prediction yesterday while getting a haircut. The hairdresser at the station next to mine wished me congratulations when I was leaving and then said "I think you're having a girl". Silly me never asked why - did she think my ass looked big? Has the baby "stolen" my beauty? (both old wives tales, but still). So, I think I'll keep a tally until delivery day of all my predictions. I refuse to make any, because I'm always wrong, and really, I'm happy with whatever I get at this point!

Ahhh, I forgot about little girls stealing you beauty. So that's what's been wrong with me since we found out Spot is a girl, LOL! Hmmm, my initial guess for you might be a girl. But gosh I am terrible at gender predictions for people. I am always wrong :-)

Thank you so much for the comment, Sully. I don't think your suggestion was out of line at all. The reason I haven't had an HSG is because my problem was such that we hadn't even bothered starting to try to get pregnant before I saw the fertility specialist. The reason I saw her is because I knew I didn't ovulate on my own. I mean, I once did, but haven't in years, and wanted advice about what we would need to do. Her feeling was that the most important thing was to get me to ovulate, and then I would be like anyone else trying to get pregnant. That there was no reason to suspect that there was anything wrong that an HSG could detect, because I hadn't even had a chance to be pregnant yet, you know what I mean? Now that we've tried three times, we figure we may as well do one, because our lack of success might at this point actually indicate something wrong in there. I understand the philosophy of getting all of the tests out of the way from the beginning, but I also understand where she's coming from. She's really reputable and I think she has tons of success, so I'm going to stick with her a bit longer.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it, and the assvice. :)
